Fiona Molloy Fiona Molloy was born and raised in Derry, Northern Ireland. She started playing piano and “…singing entire songs before I could talk!” Fiona started her musical studies under the tutelage of her grandmother Martha McGuinness (nee McDaid), a voice and piano teacher, and her father John Molloy, a classically trained baritone. At about the age of 12, she went on to train with Derry’s famous vocal coach James McCafferty (The Little Gaelic Singers), winning many commendations and medals in both voice and piano at local and national feis’ (cultural competitions) all over Ireland. In her mid-teens, Fiona began classical voice training with Neil Carlin (retired Opera Singer, Vienna Opera), a regimen she credits with “allowing me to be 45 yrs old and still singing 4 hours at a stretch alone”.

Copy of Sponsors of Tropical R Join Tropical Realty for our 13th Annual Charity Golf Tournament supporting Sturge-Weber Syndrome. Our Broker, Mitch Ribak, spends a large part of his time raising awareness for Sturge-Weber Syndrome (SWS). His granddaughter Lola, 10, was diagnosed with SWS as an infant. He has made it his mission to help find a cure for Lola and other SWS patients. Sturge-Weber is a rare neurological disease that can cause seizures, blindness, developmental delays and treatments range from medication to control seizures to partial hemispherectomies. By hosting this annual golf tournament and other fundraisers throughout the year, we have managed to raise over $200,000. This money is donated to the Kennedy Kreiger Institute to fund research done by Dr. Comi. Thanks to these donations, Dr. Comi discovered the CAUSE for SWS. Now we need to find the CURE! Tournment includes putting contest, breakfast and lunch.

The Nouveaux Honkies Fern Street The Nouveaux Honkies For many touring bands, the road is their home away from home, an ever-rolling muse that runs beneath their tires and works its way into every aspect of their lives, including their songwriting. For hard- traveling Americana duo The Nouveaux Honkies, the road is literally their home, as the 2 live out of a creatively rebuilt RV that they use to tour throughout the year in the American South. Rolling along in their high tech, solar powered, self-sufficient chariot, equipped with its own espresso bar, mini studio, and more comforts than most studio apartments in NYC, Tim O’Donnell and Rebecca Dawkins worked out a great formula to tie their travels to their music. They set up in a key American city for a couple months at a time, soaking up inspiration and making friends, before moving on. In this way, their new album Blues For Country, draws its sounds from the musical influences of New Orleans, Nashville, Florida, Austin, and the Texas hill country where they recorded it.
