Academically, I consider myself above average, as I tend to excel in anything to which I set my mind. I have a natural mind for math; ever since middle school I've been outstanding in all of my math courses. I've always taken honors classes, and occasionally AP classes in high school. Currently, I'm a high school senior with four AP classes, 2 of which involve using math on a regular basis: AP Economics and AP Calculus. I've always gotten A's in math courses and I intend for this to continue through my college life while majoring in Accounting. I have no professional experience tutoring, and it is a skill at which I wish to get better. People in my math classes have always looked to me for help, and I try my absolute best to explain it in comprehend-able terms; my methods have been successful so far. I am a great communicator and listener, which are perfect qualities that I believe qualify me as an excellent tutor. Aside from academics, I consider myself to be a well-rounded individual.

About the class:
Class begins with gentle warm ups and stretches leading into an easy flow. As the heart rate gracefully rises the body warms and softens in preparation for the restorative asanas that follow. The use of blocks, bolsters, blankets, etc., in supported, restorative postures makes the benefits of yoga accessible to all students. About the teacher:
Anusara-inspired Yoga Teacher Cathy started her yoga practice in 1996 after suffering a stroke. She was looking for a way to bring balance into her life. As her practice deepened, she wanted to share the joys of the practice with others who wanted to try yoga, but felt that the strains of their mental and physical barriers might hold them back. Her mission is to guide people to use the practice of yoga to break through these barriers and be open to all the good that life has to offer.

My name is Jim. I have a BS in Engineering Technology from UCF and have spent the last year tutoring students part-time via on-line chat and whiteboard. In this role, I learned to quickly adapt to students' learning style to overcome barriers to progress. A good tutor can draw the student toward what works for him or her. I enjoy this investigation with students, building a solid foundation for tackling problems.
